Ripple Launches XRPL Lending Protocol Proposal, Supporting Institutions to Finance with On-Chain Assets

CoinFeed June 29 news, according to CoinDesk report, Ripple proposes XRPL Lending Protocol standard, intends to add a lending layer on XRP Ledger, enabling institutions to mortgage on-chain tokenized assets for loans. The protocol adopts an on-chain execution, off-chain risk control model: the blockchain manages fund pools, interest calculation, repayment, and default handling, while borrower qualifications and credit conditions are assessed offline by institutions. The solution consists of two parts: "Single Asset Vault" and the lending layer, corresponding to technical drafts XLS-65 and XLS-66, currently only available on testnet, requiring validator node voting approval before launch on mainnet.
