EU has issued 244 MiCA licenses, Germany and France account for more than one-third
CoinFeed June 30 news, according to Bits.media citing European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) data, as of June 29, 244 enterprises in the EU have obtained MiCA crypto licenses, with Germany leading at 57 (about 23%), and France second with 26 (about 11%). Greece, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, and Romania have not issued any MiCA licenses yet; Poland has not established a crypto exchange licensing system, and the relevant bill has been vetoed by the president three times. Germany, France, and the Netherlands (plus Luxembourg and Ireland) concentrate about 72% of the EU's financial assets, which is why MiCA licenses are highly concentrated in these countries. France's approval has significantly accelerated recently, issuing 5 licenses in the week of June 18 to 22, accounting for nearly half of the 11 total in the EU during the same period.
