CoinFeed July 1 news, according to The Block, ENS co-founder Nick Johnson voted against the ENS DAO Security Council renewal, with his approximately 3.26 million ENS tokens accounting for 80% of the votes cast, causing the executable vote to fail with an 82% opposition rate. The proposal originally planned to renew the Security Council for two years. Johnson stated that he abstained in the snapshot vote and left a message supporting the renewal but not the current member list, expressing concerns about current members planning to use veto power to block proposals he personally disagreed with, and subsequently voted against in the executable vote. At the same time, he supported another alternative proposal to raise the Security Council threshold from 4/8 to 5/8. This move sparked strong doubts from the community.
