CoinFeed July 1 news, the World Gold Council today released the '2026 Global Gold Market Mid-Year Outlook'. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the gold valuation framework shows that gold will continue to serve as a barometer of the global macroeconomy. Gold prices briefly broke through $5,500/oz during intraday trading in the first half of 2026, then dipped in June and briefly fell below $4,000/oz, with a cumulative pullback of about 7% year-to-date, but over the past 12 months it remains one of the best-performing assets. The report noted that current gold prices largely reflect the consensus scenario of 'moderate global economic growth, slightly lower but still elevated inflation, and limited central bank rate hike expectations', and it is expected that the price will likely fluctuate within a range of ±5% in the second half of the year.
