Meta Launches Cloud Business Plan to Sell Surplus AI Computing Power

CoinFeed July 1 news, according to Bloomberg, Meta is building cloud infrastructure business, planning to sell its AI computing power and model usage rights to external customers, competing directly with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. People familiar with the matter said that the plan includes hosting AI models such as Muse Spark on its own infrastructure, charging by usage, similar to AWS Bedrock; and also considering renting out 'bare compute' externally, targeting neoclouds like CoreWeave.
