Democratic Candidate Backed by Crypto PAC Founded by Ripple Co-Founder Wins Colorado Primary

CoinFeed July 2 news, according to Cointelegraph, Democratic candidate Manny Rutinel in Colorado's 8th Congressional District won the primary with 61.7% of the vote, and will advance to the general election in November. The You Can Push Back Super PAC, funded with $3.5 million by Ripple Labs co-founder Chris Larsen, spent $1 million supporting Rutinel's campaign before the primary. Rutinel received a 'Strongly Supports Crypto' rating from Coinbase-affiliated Stand With Crypto. Previously, Public Citizen reported the crypto industry has invested about $189 million in the 2026 U.S. elections.
