U.S. OFAC Updates ISIS-K Sanctions List, Adds 134 Crypto Wallet Addresses

CoinFeed July 2 news, according to Chainalysis, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control updated the sanctions list for the extremist group ISIS-Khorasan on July 1, adding 134 cryptocurrency wallet addresses as identifiers, of which 131 are TRON chain addresses and 3 are Monero addresses. Tether has frozen the balances of all 131 TRON addresses. These wallets have received over $1.4 million and sent over $880,000 since 2023. ISIS-K is the Islamic State's branch in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and its media department had raised funds through cryptocurrency donations.
