Irish authorities seize another 500 bitcoins from drug trafficker Clifton Collins' lost hidden assets

CoinFeed July 3 news, according to The Block report, the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau with assistance from Europol recovered another 500 bitcoins from convicted drug trafficker Clifton Collins, worth about $31 million, bringing the total recovered in the case to 1,500 bitcoins, worth over $92 million. Collins originally held 6,000 bitcoins across 12 bitcoin wallets, funded by the cultivation and sale of cannabis. He bought when bitcoin was just a few dollars between late 2011 and early 2012, but after he was imprisoned in 2017, the rental property where he stored the private keys was cleared out, and the private keys were lost.
