Security firm Coinspect: Wallet vulnerability dating back to 2018 led to $3.14 million stolen last month, Chinese users' assets at higher risk

CoinFeed July 5 news, security firm Coinspect Security posted on X platform, stating that by analyzing crypto wallet seeds generated using insecure code since 2018, thousands of seeds were actually used, and just last month, the amount stolen from these wallets reached $3.14 million, most of which were unreported. Some funds showed patterns of concentration into a single address and money laundering, and a certain affected address transferred out another $2 million hours after the alert was issued, uncertain if it is theft. Coinspect reminds that many assets still at risk may belong to users located in China.
