CoinFeed July 5 news, according to EToday reports, South Korea's five largest crypto exchanges—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax—saw a net new coin listing count (new listings minus delistings) of 49 in the first half of the year, compared to 191 the same period last year, down about 74%. The number of new listings itself also dropped sharply. In the first half of this year, the five exchanges listed a total of 117 new coins, a 44% decrease from 210 the same period last year. Conversely, delistings surged 258% over the same period, from 19 to 68. This indicates a trend among exchanges to prioritize delisting illiquid and underperforming coins and tightening listing management standards, rather than boosting trading volume by increasing new listings.
