New York Times: Nearly One Million TRUMP Meme Coin Investors Lost Cumulative $3.81 Billion by End of June

CoinFeed July 6 news, according to the New York Times, crypto analytics firm Nansen data shows that nearly one million TRUMP meme coin investors have lost a cumulative $3.81 billion as of the end of June, with about 989,000 wallets in a loss state, accounting for about two-thirds of total buyers. The token has now fallen 97% from its peak. Meanwhile, about 500,000 wallets have profited from the TRUMP token, totaling about $4 billion. The Nansen report noted that this profit "reflects a small number of early buyers making huge gains, while the majority of retail investors bear the losses." Trump himself made $636 million from the meme coin, and in 2025, all his commercial investments yielded at least $2.2 billion.
