SpaceX Reportedly Testing Self-Developed Phone and Mobile Communication Network Plan
CoinFeed July 6 news, according to The Wall Street Journal, SpaceX is exploring a larger-scale mobile phone and mobile communication business. Some investors have seen a prototype device similar to a mobile phone, which is thinner than the iPhone and runs a self-developed operating system. The report points out that during the preparation for its IPO, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell discussed the possibility of building a terrestrial network to provide mobile services and considered cooperating with operators. Starlink has already partnered with T-Mobile and others to provide mobile connections in remote areas. In the future, if it launches its own terminal and builds large-scale terrestrial infrastructure, it will further strengthen its business layout of using satellites to directly connect mobile devices, and put pressure on traditional telecom operators.
