Tether Plans to Natively Issue USDT on Bitcoin via RGB Protocol

CoinFeed July 7 news, according to Bitcoin Magazine, Tether plans to natively issue USDT on Bitcoin via the RGB protocol v0.11.1, with UTEXO leading the deployment. The RGB protocol combines its client-side validation mechanism and the Lightning Network to enable instant, private settlements while anchoring security to Bitcoin's UTXO model. Users will be able to use native Bitcoin addresses to handle USDT, and also use compatible wallets to send and receive USDT via the Lightning Network. The product is expected to go live in the coming weeks, possibly in July.
