Base to Activate B20 Token Standard on Mainnet on July 9

CoinFeed July 7 news, according to official documentation, Base plans to activate the B20 token standard on the mainnet at 2:00 (UTC+8) on July 9. B20 is a superset of ERC-20 that runs as a native precompile on Base, enabling lower transfer costs, higher throughput, while maintaining full compatibility with ERC-20. Features like roles, supply caps, pausing, policy gating, memo, and permit are built directly into the chain. Standard ERC-20 leaves these logics to users to build, audit, and maintain themselves. With B20, developers simply call the singleton B20 Factory to create a fully configured token in a single transaction.
