Renowned economist Gao Shanwen passes away at 55 due to illness
CoinFeed July 7 news, according to reports from Shanghai Securities News, New Economist Think Tank and others, former chief economist of Guotou Securities, Gao Shanwen, passed away due to illness at the age of 55. Gao Shanwen was born in 1971 in Linfen, Shanxi. He graduated from Peking University and the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China (now the predecessor of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance). He previously worked at the People's Bank of China, Everbright Securities, Anxin Securities (later renamed Guotou Securities). He was one of the most influential macroeconomists in China's capital markets, and authored books such as 'At the Turning Point of the Cycle' and 'Perspective on Prosperity: Worries Deep in Asset Revaluation'.
