MiniMax Plans to Launch a 2.7 Trillion Parameter Large Model

CoinFeed July 8 news, according to Global Market Broadcast reports, sources revealed that AI company MiniMax is developing a brand-new large language model with 2.7 trillion parameters, surpassing all domestic AI large models currently on the market. Sources say this new model may be released as early as the third quarter of this year. Internal employees involved in the development have codenamed it M3 Pro, but it is unclear whether the company will use this name when officially releasing it; MiniMax plans to open-source the model. The size of this new model is much larger than MiniMax's current flagship large model M3 (428 billion parameters). Larger-scale AI models are better at handling complex reasoning and multi-step instruction tasks.
