XRP Ledger v3.2.0 Launches: Node Upgrade Rate Only 43%, and Accompanying Security Amendment Vote Lags Behind
CoinFeed reported on July 8, according to CoinDesk, the new XRP Ledger server software v3.2.0 has been launched, aiming to reduce operating costs, improve stability, and enhance attractiveness to institutional users. Currently, among approximately 833 active nodes, 43% are running the new version, while 51% are still using the old version v3.1.3, but about 89% of the 35 validators on the default UNL have upgraded, meeting the 80% threshold required for activation. The security amendment fixCleanup3_2_0, which accompanies the software upgrade, is still being voted on independently, covering fixes and improvements for single-asset vaults, permissioned DEX, multi-purpose tokens, and lending protocols. Currently, its support rate is far below the software adoption rate. Ripple has voted in support of the amendment. Validators that do not upgrade before the amendment is activated may face the risk of being disconnected from the Ledger.
