Blue Origin raises $10 billion at $130 billion valuation, with Bezos injecting $2 billion
CoinFeed July 8 news, according to The New York Times, Jeff Bezos' aerospace company Blue Origin is advancing its first external fundraising, planning to raise $10 billion at a valuation of about $130 billion (excluding new funds). Coatue Management is expected to lead with $4 billion, Bezos personally adds $2 billion, and the remaining approximately $4 billion will be provided by large institutional investors. Blue Origin funds will be used for New Glenn rocket launches, TeraWave satellite communication network and other projects to compete with SpaceX in the commercial rocket and orbital infrastructure sectors. Previously analysts estimated Blue Origin's spending this year could near $5 billion, with cumulative investment of about $28 billion.
