Sony receives conditional approval from U.S. OCC, to launch stablecoin trust bank in 2027

CoinFeed July 9 news, according to Banking Dive, Sony has received conditional approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish a national trust bank, planning to launch Connectia Trust in 2027, focusing on the issuance and management of USD stablecoins. The trust subsidiary is part of Sony Financial Group, with a capital of $40 million.
