BitGo Launches Quantum-Safe Tool for Bitcoin Institutional Wallets

CoinFeed July 9 news, according to The Block, custodian BitGo announced the launch of a new generation quantum-safe tool for Bitcoin institutional wallets, aiming to help institutions assess, manage and reduce quantum-related risks of UTXO model wallets. BitGo stated that the solution, building on its multi-signature architecture, introduces a new method of grouping and prioritizing UTXOs by address (a provisional patent application has been filed) to reduce the risk of public key exposure from partial spending of funds. This method does not cover address types that expose public keys from the start (such as Taproot, Pay-to-Public-Key), which require separate security measures.
