CoinFeed July 9 news, crypto exchange Gate completed an internal review regarding the security item unbinding and fund loss of customer number '9****6' who 'lost 1.7 million', stating that the applicant submitted multiple materials such as account email, phone number, real-name information, platform transaction records, and Alipay screen recording that highly matched the customer's account, and the Alipay screen recording was determined to only be generated by the customer themselves or someone with access to their Alipay account. No internal information leakage or abnormal access logs were found. Gate stated that the security item change review process includes 'multi-channel notification + system risk control + multi-layer manual review + time protection', and sets a 24-hour withdrawal prohibition protection after modification; after the incident, they have sorted out the fund flow, contacted third parties such as Tether to promote freezing and recovery, and will cooperate with judicial procedures. They also remind users to check device security, clean remote control software, and modify important account passwords.
