Galaxy Research data shows that in Q1 2026, crypto VCs deployed approximately $4 billion across 355 deals, down about 50% quarter-on-quarter, with only 8 new funds closed, the lowest since Q3 2020; meanwhile AI captured about 70% of global startup funding in Q2.
