1X launches new generation NEO manipulator, reportedly achieves near-human dexterity and force control

CoinFeed July 10 news, humanoid robot research and development technology company 1X Technologies announced that the company has launched a new generation NEO humanoid robot hand system, with 25 degrees of freedom, using tendon-driven design, gear ratio approximately 5:1 to 15:1, all joints support force control and full back-drivability, achieving near-human level dexterity and force control capability. The hand is equipped with high-resolution tactile sensing, capable of detecting normal force, contact position and shear force, IP68 waterproof and dustproof and meets food safety standards. In terms of performance, thumb CMC joint peak torque reaches 3.5Nm, finger MCP joint reaches 2.6Nm, distal flexion force reaches 45N, wrist torque 17.75Nm, positioning accuracy ±0.2mm.
