Richard Teng: Binance aims to reach 3 billion users by 2030
CoinFeed July 10 news, according to CNA reports, Binance CEO Richard Teng said that the exchange, on top of its presence in Japan and India, is accelerating applications for more compliance licenses in Asia, and entering the local market through a partnership with the Philippines' BlockShoals Technologies; its withdrawal of the MiCA license application in Greece in the EU is due to approval delays rather than a strategic shift, and Binance remains in communication with EU regulators. Teng said that currently about 740 million people worldwide have access to crypto assets, about half of which are Binance users, the platform invests over $300 million annually in compliance, about a quarter of employees are responsible for compliance, and strengthens user asset protection through proof of reserves and the SAFU fund.
