Specter Investigates BONK DAO Governance Attack: Realms Founder Suspected of Link to Attacker’s Fund Flow

CoinFeed July 11 news, on-chain security researcher Specter stated that after an initial investigation into the BONK DAO governance attack, notable on-chain connections were found: both the Realms founder and Crypto Notte were discovered to have on-chain fund exposure with addresses suspected to be linked to the attacker. Specter pointed out that the attacker created a malicious governance proposal on June 30, 2026 through a certain address, which required gaining support equivalent to 1% of BONK’s circulating supply voting power to pass, and then obtained the required voting power between July 4 and 5 through exchange purchases and borrowing from marginfi, with the borrowing scale of approximately $4 million.
