Singapore Police Partner with Coinbase and Other Exchanges in Six-Week Operation, Identify 145 Potential Victims, Prevent Over $4.2 Million Loss

The operation was jointly carried out by the Anti-Scam Centre and the Cyber Investigation Department with Coinbase and six other cryptocurrency exchanges, from April 16 to May 31, 2026. According to authorities, the operation identified over 145 potential scam victims, preventing over $4.2 million in potential losses. Police used analysis tools from Chainalysis and TRM Labs to investigate activities related to impersonation of government officials, investment scams, job scams, and love scams. The analysis results helped authorities identify individuals at risk of cryptocurrency transfers.
